Guilford Medical Associates is owned and operated by Mayo Regional Hospital and staffed by two physicians and two nurse practitioners. Each primary care provider is supported by a medical assistant. There are two clerical staff supporting the four providers.
The office is open Monday through Friday, and staff offer complete medical care with a wide array of services: comprehensive physical exams, well-child exams, sports physicals and pre-operative physicals. Chronic disease examinations are set up on a three-month basis, unless the need is sooner. Slots have been left for acute illness care on a daily basis. The office does minor skin lesion removal, strep tests, pregnancy tests, blood drawing and a variety of lab tests. Blood draws are sent to Mayo Regional Hospital's laboratory and results are sent back to Guilford via fax or courier.
The office offers counseling services to patients each week through the Mayo Counseling program. Guilford Medical Associates offers prenatal care, labor and delivery services with Gail Lamb, D.O.
