Dr. Kathleen Harper has joined the staff of Mayo Regional Hospital and Mayo Cardiology in Dover-Foxcroft. She sees outpatients at Mayo’s medical office building, inpatients at the hospital, and performs cardiac testing procedures in Mayo’s Cardiopulmonary Lab.
Dr. Harper is trained in noninvasive cardiology, which means she sees all types of cardiac illnesses but does not perform heart catheterization or heart surgery. The areas of cardiology she treats are coronary artery disease, congestive heart failure, pacemakers, atrial fibrillation or heart irregularities, cholesterol abnormalities and peripheral vascular disease. Procedures include all types of stress tests, cardiac ultrasound, including trans-esophageal echocardiography, and peripheral vascular testing to determine the presence of peripheral arterial disease (PAD).
Dr. Harper has an interest in all things heart related but has also become board certified by the American Board of Holistic and Integrative Medicine. She has learned to blend her training of high technology-based cardiac care with alternative care to better meet the needs of her patients.
For an appointment, consult your primary care provider or call Mayo Cardiology at 564-4466.
