2. Introduction of Susan Crippen as Community Partnership Assistant
"Addressing tobacco related health disparities at the local level."

3. Site Visit – Successfully held May 10, 2005 – share a few of the reviewers comments.
“Despite the wide geographic area covered by this partnership, the level of cooperation and collaboration among all parties was impressive.” “The superintendents provided very positive feedback to questions about how the HMP grant has made a difference in the various SAUs with the HMP. They each described how the HMP SHCs have brought the importance of health to everyone's attention. They emphasized how important it has been to have a person that administers the health program.”
“A full time SHC vs. a stipend position was seen as making a big difference. It was made clear, however, that the school districts with part time SHCs felt that the accomplishments for health promotion have been major.”

Goals identified:

  • Working on substance abuse issues
  • Interest in holding a countywide meeting to promote the asset development concept promoted by the Search Institute
4. Update on Collaboratives:
  • a. Dawna Blackstone – Showing of Every 15 Minutes Video and background information from the Greenville Program.
  • b. Sustainability Public Health Infrastructure Project – Brief Update.
5. Greg Bellemare and Paul Sterns – 40 Essential Developmental Assets Concept
