  5. Update – PCYOC, New Initiative Targeting Individuals of all ages – 10 minutes

  6. Follow-up discussion on showing of “Super Size Me” – 5 minutes

  7. Update – PPHC/HMP Resources, Grants, other projects – Robin Mayo – 30 minutes

    1. PPHC Minigrant Program – 5 applications in received (February 15 deadline) – next deadline April 15.

    2. Distribute Cooperative Extension Wellness Matters Newsletter – Issued Quarterly, Free.

    3. Distribute Newsletters Partnership for Tobacco-Free Maine “Milestones” and “The ScuttleButt.”

    4. April 6 HMP 5 Year Celebration in Augusta – PPHC Local Hero State Recognition Announcement.

    5. Maine Nutrition Network Minigrant $6,665 – Nutrition Education School Events (4) that involve youth and families; highlights 5210, Food Safety, Food Preparation, Increasing Fruits & Vegetables. Community partners to be invited to participate include WIC, Cooperative Extension, Food Stamp Representatives, Food Cupboards, etc.

    6. Successes $21,273 in additional grant funding received over this past year to address Tobacco Related Health Disparities, Diabetes Awareness, and Nutrition Education.

    7. Continued work with Chamber of Commerce and Business Alliance – Great work is happening in Piscataquis County with regards to Worksite Wellness.

    8. Carol White Physical Education Grant – exploring multiple districts applying together and consider options for grant writer.

    9. Local Recognition – Subcommittee to plan, organize, and publicize.

    10. Congratulations to Amelia Butman from Greenville, a member of our Youth Advocacy - MOOSE Group, is one of six to receive the “Teens Who Care Award” from WLBZ Channel 2.

    11. Update on Tobacco Settlement Dollars, new reporting tool, new HMP goals for community and schools. Draft workplan and budget due into Robin Mayo by March 20 with submission to the State on March 27.

    12. Guilford Expo – March 31 – April 1 – Come Check It Out!

    13. Next meeting June 7, 1-3 Sebec Room Mayo Regional Hospital

    14. Mark your calendars - Next Year's Meetings will be held from 1:00-3:00 on September 20, 2006, December 6, 2006, March 21, 2007, and June 6, 2007.
