Renée opened the meeting by distributing the December issue of the PPHC newsletter and the lending library list. People are encouraged to let others know about the lending library. School Health Coordinators suggested they will share it with school staff and put it on the school website. If people want to borrow materials they should call 564-4344.

The current PPHC Workplan for July 2002-June 2003 was reviewed, and the group discussed ways to accomplish the goals outlined. A suggestion was made that the Guilford Expo would be a good place to survey employers about their worksite wellness initiatives. Cathy suggested Roxanne Nason from WorkWISE come to a PPHC meeting to talk about what they offer for employers. Several good suggestions were made on how to complete the current workplan before June 30.

Robin Mayo announced an informational meeting on the School Health Advisory Council on March 4 from 5:00-7:00 in Dexter. School Health Coordinators and some community members are invited. Call Robin at 924-7604 or Renée at 564-4344 for more information.

The group began discussion about next year's workplan, and some initial priorities were discussed. The topic of next month's meeting will be to define our priorities for the next fiscal year (July 2003-June 2004) and to develop objectives and strategies to accomplish our priorities. We need to move more towards policy and environmental change. Worksheets with examples of how to make policy and environmental change were handed out and will be sent to those not present at the meeting.

ACTION: PPHC members are asked to review those materials and come to the next meeting prepared to talk about goals for next year. Two meetings will be held that day so that more members' schedules can be accommodated. See below for details.
