Welcome to Mayo Regional Hospital
Quality Matters Report
We are pleased to share the information contained in our quality matters report with you. The report reflects the many ways we measure the care we provide in an effort to continuously improve our patients’ experience. Our goal is to create an environment in which the quality of care exceeds the expectations of patients visiting as inpatients, outpatients, emergency department patients, and physician office patients.
In the fall of 2004 Mayo Regional Hospital received the Federal designation of Critical Access Hospital. Since that time, although not accredited by JCAHO (Joint Commission on the Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations), Mayo has chosen to continue to meet the Federal regulations and State standards that every non-critical access hospital must meet in addition to the critical access hospital regulations and standards. While not JCAHO accredited we continue to strive for excellence and use the JCAHO quality benchmarks as a measurement tool.
