Sometimes when patients come to be seen they don't understand the reasons why the wait is so long. Patients are seen the sickest to the least ill. Its called triage (French for sorting). Once you are seen, if your condition requires tests these take time and these must be done within the hospital during normally scheduled business. If a true emergency, the tests will be moved in front of all the routine ones already scheduled. After hours people may have to be called in to accomplish needed services. This is true in any Emergency Room you might visit. If your condition requires no tests and only a simple prescription and instructions, you have to wait because someone more ill requires the care givers attention.
