Oncology (Cancer)

You will receive the latest in cancer treatment with a personal touch at the Oncology Services Department at Mayo Regional Hospital. We have been providing quality, compassionate medical care to cancer patients since 1978.

We know that vulnerable life experiences such as cancer treatment are challenging and our caring and dedicated medical professionals are mindful to bring warmth and understanding as well as clinical skill to our patients and their families.

You will find convenience is one advantage of our program. If you or someone you love is receiving chemotherapy – – consider staying close to home. We are here to serve our community.

The Tracy Hibbard Kasprzak Cancer Treatment Center was dedicated on September 23, 2017.  The center has new patient rooms designed for comfort and privacy, a new transfusion area, telemedicine capability, and private consultation rooms. It features 4 treatment bays and 2 exam rooms each with bedside smart TVs. The treatment center has a comfortable waiting room and a refreshment station.

There is a  Certified Medical Assistant to help with patients as well as other duties. The kitchen provides hot meals for patients. We offer dietary consults to the patients to assist them in maintaining a healthy weight and to address any side effects from chemotherapy. We refer patients to patient financial assistance as needed. Social services are also available as needed. We are working to have the Oncologist from Cancer Care of Maine come twice a month to better serve our patients. Visit this link to donate to the Tracy Hibbard Kasprzak Cancer Treatment Center .
