DOVER-FOXCROFT - Lynne Gagnon of Orono joined Mayo Regional Hospital as Director of Patient Care Services on Nov. 14.
As a member of Mayo’s senior leadership team, Gagnon has responsibility for all nursing services, including Medical/Surgical, Intensive Care, Obstetrical, Emergency, Surgical and Oncology units. In addition, she oversees many other related departments, including Emergency Medical Services, Pharmacy, Anesthesiology, Social Services, Physician Assistants, and Outpatient Clinics. Gagnon comes to Mayo from Acadia Hospital in Bangor, where she has worked since 1999, most recently as Administrator for Ancillary Services and Performance Improvement. Prior to her tenure at Acadia, she served in several capacities in the Emergency Department at Eastern Maine Medical Center from 1977-1995, including five years as ED Nurse Manager. Gagnon received her nursing diploma from Mercy Hospital School of Nursing, her BSN from State University of New York, Albany, and her Masters in Business Science from Husson College. She is currently a member of the International Healthcare Quality Certification Board, and is past president of the Maine Association for Healthcare Quality. Gagnon has also served as national president of the Emergency Nurses Association, and is past chair of the Maine Board of Emergency Medical Services. |
