Mayo Administrator published in Emergency Nursing

DOVER-FOXCROFT - Lynne Gagnon, RN, BSN, MS, CPHQ, Director of Patient Care Services at Mayo Regional Hospital, is a contributing author to the sixth edition of "Emergency Nursing Core Curriculum."

The 1,118-page book, published this year with oversight from the Emergency Nurses Association, is designed to provide emergency nurses with the most up-to-date information available in a concise and systematic framework. The 46 individual chapters provide the emergency nurse with the most current consensus on best-practice and management issues.

Gagnon contributed the chapter on Psychiatric/Psychosocial Emergencies.

A member of Mayo's senior leadership team since 2005, Gagnon was formerly an administrator at Acadia Hospital and worked for many years as Emergency Department Nurse Manager at Eastern Maine Medical Center, both in Bangor. She was first certified in Emergency Nursing in 1980.
