MEHAF NAMES 9 NEW ADVISORY COMMITTEE MEMBERS

(AUGUSTA, ME, May 4, 2006). The Maine Health Access Foundation (MeHAF) announced nine new members to its 20-person statewide Community Advisory Committee.

The new members are:

John Applin, Executive Director, Bread of Life Ministries, Augusta; Biddeford resident.

Julia Bell, Executive Director, Maine Developmental Disabilities Council, Augusta; Augusta resident.

Edmund Cervone, Policy Analyst, Maine Center for Economic Policy, Augusta; Hallowell resident.

Elizabeth Forsythe, Former Assistant to Director, Bureau of Elder and Adult Services; Hallowell resident.

Dan Foster, Town Manager, Fort Fairfield; Fort Fairfield resident.

L. Berell Kornreich, Former Executive Director, Downeast Health Services; Penobscot resident.

Robin Mayo, Community Partnership Director, Mayo Regional Hospital, Dover Foxcroft; Milo resident.

Constance Sandstrom, Executive Director, Aroostook County Action Program, Presque Isle, Presque Isle resident.

Lisa Sockabasin, Executive Director, Maine Office of Minority Health, Augusta; Portland resident.

“We’re honored to have such a talented group of knowledgeable people provide advice and guidance to MeHAF’s Board of Trustees and staff,” said Foundation President and CEO Wendy Wolf, M.D., MPH. “The Community Advisory Committee is a critical link to the communities and people we serve across all sectors in Maine. These new members bring valuable energy and expertise to promote our mission.”

All members serve 3-year terms and are voting members of MeHAF’s working committees.
