PENQUIS - Do you work for a family friendly business? Penquis Community Action Program is seeking nominations of businesses in Penobscot, Piscataquis and Knox Counties that support employees in balancing the needs of both work and family. The winning business will be recognized at the annual Economic Prosperity for Everyone Conference to be held on June 13 and receive the Penquis Community Action Program Family Friendly Employer Award.
A family friendly employer is one that has successfully helped their staff manage family and personal commitments alongside workplace responsibilities. Work-life harmony can be achieved when both career goals as well as family commitments are fulfilled. Employers play a paramount role in helping employees achieve work-life harmony through family friendly policies and practices.
To nominate a family friendly business, complete the Family Friendly Business Survey online at www.penquiscap.org or contact Maria Staples at 973-3586 to have one mailed to you. To be considered, surveys must be received by April 15.
